Spirituality for Brokenness Available in electronic form (with audio version)

Friends,

I have just learned that my book, A Spirituality for Brokenness is now available in a down loadable format for the Amazon.com "Kindle electronic book reader.

The idea of an electronic version seemed a bit frivolous to me until I realized that the Kindle offers an audio book option that makes it accessible for the blind or visually impaired. I don't know that an audio version of the book is on the horizon at my publisher, so this is an interim step.

Here's a link to the Kindle version for those who are technologically savvy and for those who have other special needs.

Sometimes listening to a chant is soothing

Friends,

Sometimes when we are hurting from our sense of brokenness and alienation, listening to a spiritual leader chant in another language can be helpful. Here is a link to a video on Youtube of the Venerable Geshe Sangay Gyatso offering a chant of blessing and protection.

The chant was offered during an open house welcoming celebration at the new offices of my organization, Interfaith Paths to Peace in Louisville, Kentucky on the evening of May 13th, 2009.

Geshe-la (as he is respectfully referred to) is the spiritual leader of the Drepung Gomang institute in Louisville, here is a link to the DGI web site : http://www.drepunggomang.com/
